  1. Amy,aol and the hassels that I had with it is why I switched to yahoo for my mail and SBC for my dsl which is Now AT&T dsl.I’m happier.

  2. Heh. AIM sucks more than a brand new Dyson vacuum. Luckily, Gmail and AIM Mail are not owned by the same company. Gmail is a lovely Google product, not something from the bowels of AOL.

  3. Yes, AIM sucks. But that doesn’t help resolve my problem. I mean, do I have to go violate the TOS just to get this stupid thing deleted? It seems pretty silly to have to pay $20 for my other e-mail service is this AIM thing is always going to interfere. I am so frustrated I could cry…again.

  4. Just to clarify…GMail is NOT run by AOL, it is run by Google which is a separate entity in itself, I personally use GMail, and so does Wheaton College to host student email accounts, and it’s been great

  5. Hahaha….bswriter@gmail.com is looking pretty sweet!

  6. Yeah, what TJ said. AOL is the devil. Gmail is saintly, awesome and FREE!
Sorry for your email woes – I reccomend chocolate.

  7. Just so you know. You can use gmail with your own domain name. Just setup a gmail account and then under settings they have instructions to point your own name to the gmail account.
